Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU night shift assignment in a Level 1 Trauma setting in Ohio, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital
- Level 1 Trauma environment with telemetry and ventilator patient care
- Night shifts available: two 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) and two 8-hour shifts (23:00–07:30) per week
- Required to work 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing as part of onboarding
- Responsibilities include post-anesthesia recovery care and management of high-acuity patients
- Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
- Time off requests must be submitted with the initial application
- Professional attire or scrub requirements will be communicated upon assignment
Requirements
- Current RN license in Ohio or compact state license required at time of consideration
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting necessary
- Ability to monitor telemetry and manage ventilated patients required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor or manager
- Must not be a current employee of any Ohio State University hospital location
- Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
