Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a long-term acute care hospital requiring a current NC or compact RN license and every other weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (19:00 to 07:00), three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Float within scope or between similar units as needed
- Epic EMR is used in this facility
- Wear royal blue and white scrubs as per dress code
- No on-call responsibilities for this role
- Holiday and time-off requests subject to manager's discretion
- Block scheduling requests considered
- Two professional supervisory references from the past two years required for consideration
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
- Previous MS/Tele and LTAC nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are not considered
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Return staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 2 contracts before a 6-month break is required
