We are seeking an energetic and passionate board-certified/board eligible Neonatologist to join our growing Ochsner Neonatology Team and serve as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at one of our community Level III NICU located on the Northshore of beautiful Lake Pontchartrain.

The NICU has 1,133 annual deliveries and include 24/7 NNP in-house coverage.
The NICU participates in the Vermont Oxford Network and eligible to participate in Ochsner system-based neonatal QI projects.

Ochsner Children's Hospital includes a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV, 4 bed Pediatric EMU and a 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, supported by a 24-7 pediatric and neonatal transport team utilizing rotary and fixed wing aircraft, as well as ground transport. Last year we broke ground on a new 5-story Children's Hospital on our main campus in New Orleans, with expected opening in quarter 1 of 2028.
Ochsner Children's Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is also responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. The Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine has just been LCME accredited as a brand new allopathic medical school with plans to enter their first class in 2027.
