Description:
Performs routine imaging examinations in Diagnostic Radiology on a scheduled and emergency basis
following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.
Examinations/Procedures:
- Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
- Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
- Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
- Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.
Additional Notes:
- Training (initial ~2weeks) may take place at any facility's location, not just Needham. Please confirm the candidate is aware of this training location requirement.

- Current MA Radiologic Technologist license
