A healthcare network in Massachusetts is currently seeking a licensed Physician to join their growing Urgent Care team at one of their facilities in Hampden County.
The qualified, licensed professional selected with role will have to travel to the network's other facilities on occasion. Travel reimbursement will be available! Responsibilities:The Urgent Care Physician will:
- Provide and managedirect patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care
- Document and chart patient information in line with current policies and procedures
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care
- Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
- Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- 2+ years of Clinical experience in an Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine and/or Urgent Care setting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Massachusetts
- Board Eligible
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Computer savvy and working knowledge of Clinical Management systems (EMR)
