Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, where you will participate in a variety of complex and high-demand procedures. Your expertise will support procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, embolizations (UFE), IVC filter placements, SVC repairs, line placements including PICC and central lines, as well as assist with CT biopsies, fistulas, needle aspirations, shock wave lithotripsy, and other vascular cases. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art technology, providing critical care support while ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Candidates will enjoy the convenience of free parking on site and procedural scrubs provided by the facility, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 2 years of active IR experience, demonstrating proficiency in interventional procedures.
- Valid and active Illinois license (IEMA).
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- ARRT (CT) certification.
- Strong team collaboration skills with excellent communication abilities, particularly with physicians.
- Knowledgeable in aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and protective measures.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of physicians and respond swiftly to clinical situations.
- A professional attitude and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification (highly preferred).
- CBT (Certified Bookkeeper Technician) certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience working in a high-volume IR department or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated competence in vascular and interventional radiology procedures.

- ARRT (CT) — Required
- RCIS — Highly preferred
- CBT — Preferred
