The Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive health services including pre-placement exams, injury assessments, medical surveillance, and substance testing for workers. They manage 20 to 25 patients daily in a non-hospital occupational health setting, ensuring fit-for-duty clearance and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. The role requires senior experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to handle workers' compensation cases efficiently during standard weekday hours.
20 to 25 patients per day Mon thru Fri 7:30a to 5p Much faster onboarding process since this is not a hospital
Perform pre-placement physical examination, return to work clearances. Order and interpret diagnostic x-rays and lab results. Perform initial and ongoing worker injury assessments. Perform medical surveillance, exposure treatments and follow ups. Perform health screenings and for-cause substance testing and fit for duty examinations. Collaborate with physicians, APNS, and other departments. Must have senior experience. DOT Certified. NJ License. CDS. DEA. Be ok with Workers comp cases.
