Advanced Practice Provider (APP) CV Surgery Support needed in Baltimore, MD!
Location: Prestigious University Med Center
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts/week, Monday Friday (Days Vary)
Shift Time: 6:30 AM 4:30 PM
Call/Weekend:No call, no weekends
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend or on-call responsibilities perfect for providers who thrive in high-acuity environments and value work-life balance.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide post-operative care for cardiovascular surgery patients
Perform and manage procedures including:
Central lines
Arterial lines
Chest tubes
Wound care vacs
Conduct interval H&P notes for OR patients
Assist with consults and CV ICU patients when not in the OR
Participate in 1 2 OR cases/day, averaging 2 5 days/week
Manage 8 15 patients, shared among the team, acting as the primary team until discharge
️ Candidate Profile
Experienced APP (PA or NP) with a background in surgical or critical care settings
Proficient in line placements and post-op management
Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment
Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
