Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Washington, DC 20010 (prime location for DC nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
• On-Call: 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule
• Unit: Main Operating Room (21 rooms, 60 cases/day)
• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending accepted with proof at submission; must have in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• BCLS certification (required for all RN jobs)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Experience with general OR procedures, bariatric surgery, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology cases
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two (2) supervisor references required

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing diverse surgical procedures, including total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, and ENT/OMF surgeries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as IV, radiology, pharmacy, and lift teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards throughout the surgical process
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend shift coverage as scheduled
• Float to other units of similar or lower acuity as required by the healthcare facility
• Comply with all hospital policies, including mandatory flu vaccination
