Responsibilities
Ascension St. Agnes is looking for a OB/GYN Physician Assistant for our team!
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Agnes Hospital to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
- Occasional night (7p-7a) and weekend (day/night) coverage, as needed
- Possibility of occasional 7a-3p or 7a-4p shifts
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 3 months of hire.
- DEA and CDS required to start
Responsibilities:
- Consult on OB/Gyn patients throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department.
- First assist in OB and GYN surgeries - open, laparoscopic, robotic.
- Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
