Facility Information
- Annual Volume: 42,000 patient visits.
- Physician Coverage: 36 hours per day.
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts.
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Coverage: 36 hours per day.
- EMR System: Meditech P-doc EMR with M-Modal Dictation for efficient and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.
- Coverage: Work 12-hour shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including APPs, to deliver comprehensive emergency care.
- Admissions: Coordinate patient admissions with hospitalists and other specialists as needed.
- Documentation: Utilize the Meditech EMR system for patient records and M-Modal for dictation.
Qualifications
- Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in Texas or have the ability to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department is preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
