Job Summary:

The Vice President of Quality for the Americas will lead Quality for MCC’s largest region, currently a $2 billion segment. This role is accountable for designing, implementing, and sustaining world-class Quality Management Systems (QMS) across multiple countries, plants and customer segments. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer for the Americas, this role provides vision, direction, and execution for building quality culture, compliance, and continuous improvement for the region.

This executive leader will influence business strategy, partner with senior operations and commercial leadership, and ensure that MCC’s reputation for quality and reliability remains unmatched in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Define and drive MCC’s Americas business strategy, aligning with enterprise goals for operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Serve as executive advisor to the CEO, COO, and leadership team on quality-related risks, opportunities, and investments.
Act as the voice of quality with customers, suppliers, regulators, and industry associations.
Champion and execute a strategy regarding Cost of Quality internally driving culture of process robustness , first time quality and rework and quality waste reduction
Be a leader on sign off of quality tests and product quality capability and reproducibility during onboarding new customers and products

Enterprise Quality Management

Oversee the design, implementation, and governance of MCC’s global Quality Management System (QMS) across all business units.
Standardize quality processes, tools, and metrics across sites to ensure consistent performance and compliance with ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Implement predictive and preventive systems leveraging data analytics, SPC, and advanced quality tools to drive zero-defect culture.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to accelerate defect reduction, process efficiency, and cultural adoption across global operations.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams to proactively embed quality into new product development, supplier management, and manufacturing systems.
Lead enterprise-wide Kaizen, GEMBA, and problem-solving initiatives that drive measurable improvements in cost of quality, customer complaints, and operational reliability.

Talent & Organizational Development

Build and lead a high-performing global quality organization, including plant quality leaders, regional directors, and subject matter experts.
Provide executive-level coaching, succession planning, and capability development to elevate organizational talent.
Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and professional growth across the quality function.

Financial & Business Impact

Manage and optimize the enterprise quality budget, ensuring fiscally responsible investment in systems, training, and innovation.
Drive improvements that reduce cost of poor quality, warranty claims, and customer dissatisfaction.
Contribute to long-term business growth by ensuring MCC delivers premium, compliant, and innovative products that exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in Quality, including at least 7 years in multi-site or global executive leadership.
Proven ability to lead cultural transformation and embed world-class quality practices at scale.
Deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced quality systems (CQE, ASQ certifications strongly preferred).
Strong financial and strategic acumen with demonstrated ability to influence C-Suite decision-making.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with global customers, suppliers, regulators, and employees.
Ability to travel up to 50–60% domestic and international
