Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist provides skilled physical therapy services consistent with licensure as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Delivers care that is consistent with the physical therapy practice act in the appropriate state and adheres to APTA Code of Ethics. Completes patient evaluations and treatments independently while maintaining patient safety. Requires infrequent guidance/mentoring for complex or non-routine patients. Appropriately seeks guidance and assistance when necessary. Independently establishes / implements treatment goals and plans based on patient input and evaluation and assessment results. Reassesses outcomes and modifies goals and plans to meet changing needs of the patient. Schedules patient activities according to patient individual needs. Demonstrates technical competencies and job knowledge involving unusual or infrequent circumstances. Appropriately delegates tasks to support personnel.

• Documentation is timely, legible, accurate, consistent with established procedures, and inclusive of evaluation, assessment/reassessment, goals, plan, response to interventions, and discharge planning needs as permitted by licensure.
• Communicates with patients, families, and visitors in a caring and empathetic way. Provides timely and accurate information to all health care team members involved in the care of the patients, both within and outside of the organization.
• Uses appropriate education methods and customizes education processes for the patient and key learner. Acquires and maintains knowledge of physical therapy practice by identifying continuing education needs and participating in educational opportunities. Provides orientation and guidance to new rehab staff in work area as requested. Assists with student development as opportunities present based on the employee's years of experience as directed by the manager.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate from an accredited PT program, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state PT license, required.
