Position Details: Location: Washington State, near Ashford Position: Locum Tenens - Interventional Radiology Physician Setting: Hospital-based practice in a Level 3 Trauma Center Schedule: Day Shift: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call Coverage: Required for the full week if on rotation Weekend Requirements: Full 24-hour call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays Caseload: Approximately 8-11 cases daily, with a high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies Facility Highlights: Emergency Volume: Approximately 55,000 annual ER visits EMR System: EPIC, with teleradiology support via Philips ISite platform Support Staff: Includes two local interventional radiologists and a team of IR support professionals Responsibilities: Conduct a variety of imaging and interventional procedures: Required Imaging Procedures: Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound Required Interventional Procedures: Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stenting, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty Collaborate with a large team of radiologists across the health system Qualifications: Board Certification: AOBR or ABR in Interventional Radiology Required Fellowship Training: Strongly preferred in Interventional Radiology (IR) Licensure: Active Washington State medical license Required Certifications: ACLS certification Required Credentialing: Timeframe: Approximately 3-4 months to complete credentialing Additional Information: Presentation Requirements: Updated CV with locum history Availability for assignments NPI and Washington State license number Malpractice and background documentation References (if available) Scope of services offered This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-volume environment while exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
