Locums - Traverse City, Michigan, Palliative Medicine Opening
Clinical Role:• Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!• Coverage Type: Intermittent locum coverage• Shift Structure: 7-on / 7-off style coverage• Schedule begins Tuesday at 8:00 AM and runs through the following Tuesday at 8:00 AM• Flexibility available for fewer consecutive days based on provider availability
Coverage Dates:• March 3 - March 9• March 17 - March 23• March 31 - April 6• April 14 - April 20• April 28 - May 4
Call Requirements:• 24-hour call coverage during scheduled week• Coverage includes:- Home-based hospice care service- Inpatient palliative medicine consult service- Outpatient palliative medicine clinic• Average call volume:- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM: approximately 1 call/page- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM: approximately 10 calls/pages
Practice Setting:• Physician oversight and simultaneous coverage of three services:- Inpatient Palliative Medicine Consult Service- Outpatient Palliative Medicine Clinic- Home Hospice Care Service
Patient Volume & Support:• Average inpatient consult census: 12-18 patients• Patients shared between physician and advance practice provider• EMR: Cerner
Candidate Requirements:• Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine - Required• BLS - Required• Active Michigan license - Preferred
