This locum tenens anesthesiology position in Pennsylvania requires a board-certified or board-eligible physician to provide anesthesia for various cases excluding cardiac and neonatal patients. The role demands coverage for 5 days per week with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, supporting both inpatient and outpatient settings alongside CRNAs. Candidates must maintain appropriate DEA licensure in the state and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with limited exemptions allowed.
Coverage Needed: ASAP - Ongoing 5 days per week 10 and 12 hr shifts, some 8 available as well. Clinical Information: Provide anesthesia for ALL types of cases except for HEARTS and Babies. 3:1 and sometimes 4:1 case ratio. Inpatient/Outpatient Support: CRNA provided for all cases 70-80,000 cases per year Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible Procedures required:general, mac, regional and post op serve blocks (extremities and TAP blocks) DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges.Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
