This locum tenens position seeks an experienced emergency medicine physician to provide coverage at a large teaching hospital in Texas with a 33-bed ER and 312 total beds. The role requires proficiency in critical emergency procedures, trauma care, and rapid intubation, with shifts spanning day, swing, and night coverage. Certification in emergency medicine and various immunizations are mandatory, alongside orientation and credentialing processes before starting.

Level 2 and above surgeon called only if needed.Transfer- Case manager/charge nurse contacts CHRISTUS transfer center who will then work on finding placement. Texas residents stay in Texas, Arkansas residents transfer to Arkansas. Level III Trauma, Heliport for pt. transportEMR: MeditechCredentialing:Time Needed: 60-90 daysTemp privilege's: Yes under certain circumstances.
