Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and metal fabrication, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mig Welder to join their dynamic team. As a Mig Welder, you will be an integral part of the production department, supporting the team in delivering high-quality metalwork. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s standards and values.
Job Title: Mig Welder
Location: Alexandria, AL
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/hour
Shift: Monday - Saturday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Perform MIG welding on various metals such as steel and aluminum according to detailed specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accuracy.
- Set up and operate welding machines and related tools efficiently and safely.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 3+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
