The Maintenance Supervisor leads and supervises a team responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production equipment in a manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and coordination with production and scheduling departments to support operational goals. Responsibilities include planning work orders, conducting safety inspections, providing training, and performing hands-on maintenance tasks.
The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to the Maintenance production team engaged in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production equipment. Strives to ensure safety, quality and maximum production efficiencies in order to meet and support the manufacturing facility’s overall goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, scheduling and implementation of work orders to appropriate shift members for the implementation of equipment modifications as well as preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Coordinates and performs repairs and maintenance activities with the production and scheduling departments as necessary.
- Remains active on the floor including providing any “hands-on” trouble shooting and maintenance of production equipment.
- Adheres to all plant rules, reviews attendance records and recommends provides corrective action as necessary in collaboration with Maintenance Manager and Human Resources
- Conducts safety inspections of work areas, examines tools/equipment, facilitates safety training to prevent, identify and correct unsafe conditions or violation of safety procedures and rules.
- Exemplifies safety and compliance items such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTTO), Hot Work/Permits, and LSQ.
- Prepares and submit purchase requisitions to request any materials and supplies such as tools, equipment and replacement parts. Interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary. May maintain spare parts inventory dependent on location.
- Fosters a positive working environment and drives Maintenance team to meet set productivity targets and performance standards.
- Assist with planning and coordinating the installation and removal of plant equipment as necessary.
- Provide training to Maintenance Employees, including safety, quality and production. May recommend safety and technical training.
- Serves as a support to Maintenance Manager when they are not available.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing operation
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management system Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to be a team player
- Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem solving skills
- Has the ability to multi-task, prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred
Salary Pay Range: The pay range is $95,000-$110,000 per year. Exact pay offered will depend on candidate's experience, work location, skills, etc.
