Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 2 years of acute care experience and a current CA license for a day-shift hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shifts, five 8-hour shifts per week from 8:30 to 18:00
- Caseload includes CVA, trauma, orthopedic, medical-surgical, neurological, and ambulatory care patients
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Duties include planning and implementing occupational therapy programs and participating in department initiatives
- Modules are completed during orientation through e-learning, with hours varying by specialty
- Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only one holiday will be approved for time off during assignment
- Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are accepted at a local rate
Requirements
- Current California Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum 2 years of recent occupational therapy experience in an acute care hospital
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
