This role involves collaboration with integrated healthcare teams, participation in on-call rotations, and ensuring compliance with documentation and coding standards.
Family Medicine NP/PA Opportunity - South Texas Health System Clinics
Full-time Family Medicine NP or PA needed in McAllen/Edinburg area to provide comprehensive primary care services.
- Prior family medicine experience preferred

- Support our Physicians to complete Value Based Care and HEDIS Measures.
- Support patients via in-Person consultation, Telemedicine visits, and sponsored health events.
- Champion a comprehensive, coordinated model of care for Medicare-aged population on a Medicare Advantage Plan and Medicaid population.
- Champions the Attestation process by collaborating with STHS physicians, managed care resources, and STHS Regional Quality Manger.
- Support our ER and Inpatient population once discharged to ensure STHS Physicians can see their patients within 7 days to eliminate barriers on discharge and prevent readmissions.
- Cover for Physicians during vacation time or sick days.
- Rotate on call after hours and weekends to aid physicians with on call rotation schedules.
- Educate patients on appropriate use of Emergency Rooms vs. Urgent Cares. Provide Urgent Care Resources.
- Collaborate with our physicians to educate on proper coding, risk adjustment metrics, capture documentation, and follow quality protocols.
- Interview patients to ensure proper documentation and that all preventative screenings have been completed.
