Clinical Responsibilities
Inpatient Acute Urology
- Inpatient consults
- ED, ICU, and med/surg consults
- Daily rounding
- Management of urgent urologic conditions: retention, stones, hematuria, Foley complications, infected stones
- Bedside procedures (based on privileges): Foley placement, suprapubic catheter management, bladder irrigation, clot evacuation
Follow-Up Clinic (2 Half Days/Week)
- Post-URS
- Post-TURP
- Post-lithotripsy
- Foley checks/removals
- Stent removals (if privileged)
- Imaging/lab review
Clinic is strictly follow-up; no new consults.
Schedule & Structure
- Coverage: Two weeks per month (or week-on/week-off)
- Hours: Daytime schedule (approx. 8a 4p); APPs on for 10-hour days
- Volume: 8 12 patients/day (combined inpatient + clinic)
- Travel: Minimal; Rock Island Bettendorf 15 min Moline clinic central
- EMR: EPIC
