The Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology leads a specialized team in a southern Florida academic medical center, balancing clinical and surgical duties focused on pediatric ENT cases. Primary responsibilities include managing common pediatric ear, nose, and throat conditions, overseeing two pediatric ENT specialists, and dedicating weekly time to leadership activities. Optimum is thrilled to partner with a prestigious academic facility in southern Florida, offering an exciting opportunity for a Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology to lead a dedicated team in a rewarding and innovative environment.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- On-Call: Minimal, 3-4 times per year
- Responsibilities: Split time evenly between clinic and surgery, with one dedicated leadership day each week (80/20 split)
- Case Types: Bread and butter pediatric ENT (tubes, tonsils, airway management, vascular formations, and more)
- Leadership: Oversee 2 pediatric ENTs
- EMR: Epic and Cerner
- Support Team: Full range of subspecialists available
- Requirements: Board certification
