Locum Tenens Opportunity: Breast Surgeon Specialty: Surgeon - Breast Default Rate Type: Daily Emergency/Temp Privileges: Yes Shift Type: Varied Shift Description: Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Operating Room (OR): Two days per week + on-call as needed Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Surgeon to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This position offers a dynamic mix of clinic hours, operating room time, and on-call responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the breast surgery program in a diverse patient population. Job Details: Reason for Coverage: Vacancy due to provider departure Practice Setting: Office-clinic and hospital Call Schedule: To be determined Trauma Level/Designation: No trauma designation at this time Documentation System/EMR: Utilizing Epic EMR system Number of Operating Rooms: 28 operating rooms spread across two hospital facilities Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 9 Patient Age Demographic: Primarily adult and geriatric patients Required Procedures: General Surgical Cases ADULT Breast Surgery Cholecystectomy Hernioplasty Requirements: Board Certification: Board certification in General Surgery is mandatory. BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. State License: Active South Carolina medical license and DEA registration are necessary. Clean Background: A clean background check (medical & criminal) is a prerequisite. Breast Surgery Fellowship: Highly preferred; candidates must have completed extensive training in breast surgery.
