Job Purpose:
- The ER Technician I is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.
- Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Licenses and/or Certifications:
- MA, CNA, CMA, LVN, NCT, EMT-B certification or diploma
- Current Basic Life Support Certification required
- Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire
Work Experience:
- 1 year of work-related experience - preferred
