Our job summary

The ER Tech I provides basic and direct patient care support in an emergency room setting, assisting with therapeutic treatments, laboratory operations, patient discharge, and education. The role requires certification such as MA, CNA, CMA, LVN, NCT, or EMT-B, along with Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardio Life Support certification within 90 days of hire. This position supports Methodist Health System's mission to deliver compassionate and quality healthcare across its network of hospitals and clinics.

Job Description :

Job Purpose:

The ER Technician I is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to the patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operation of laboratory equipment, patient discharge and education.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Licenses and/or Certifications:

MA, CNA, CMA, LVN, NCT, EMT-B certification or diploma
Current Basic Life Support Certification required
Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire

Work Experience:

1 year of work-related experience - preferred
