Fishers, Indiana Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens (Freestanding ED)

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians (ABEM/AOBEM only) to join our expanding locum tenens roster across three freestanding Emergency Departments/Urgent Care centers in the Indianapolis metro area. This long-term opportunity begins September 2025 and offers both day and night shift availability with consistent scheduling needs.

Assignment Details

• Location: Fishers, IN (with cross-credentialing at nearby sites in Carmel & West Carmel)
• Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
• Shift Schedule:
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Availability: Multiple openings | 20–25 shifts per month across all sites
• Practice Model: Physician-led teams with APC support (10–20 hours depending on site volume)
• Annual Volume: ~20,000
• Beds: 12-bed ED (per site)
• Trauma Designation: Freestanding ED/Urgent Care
• EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope

• Average 2 patients per hour
• Full-spectrum Emergency Medicine care in a fast-paced freestanding ED setting
• Collaborate with APCs while maintaining independent decision-making authority
• EMR experience required

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification: ABEM or AOBEM
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA only)
• Licensure: Active & unrestricted Indiana license + DEA
• Experience: 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine practice
• Credentialing: Standard timeline, no temporary privileges granted
