Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring IL RN license and Level 1 Trauma and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital setting within various inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedics, Advanced Care, and ICU as applicable
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Floating required to multiple units depending on facility needs
- Care provided to a diverse patient population across units
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Role involves initial assessments, planning and modifying care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- May be required to precept and orient staff from various units
- Must provide up to date documentation of nursing care for team use
- Cannot remain on assignment at any Carle Health location for more than one year without a six-month break or conversion
- No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
- Requests for time off may not exceed seven days during a 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary IL license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association
- Minimum one year of relevant hospital nursing experience required
- Documented Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
