Our client, a leading organization in the chemical industry, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join their team. As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be part of the Warehouse Support team supporting Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Management. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Location: Riegelwood, NC
Pay Range: $20
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm
What's the Job?
- Prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and prioritize outbound shipments with Production and Customer Service to meet delivery commitments.
- Complete shipping and receiving transactions in SAP, including attaching BOLs, COAs, and tracking information.
- Support receiving activities, inventory counts, material movement, and organized storage within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and maintain safe, clean, and compliant warehouse areas.
What's Needed?
- Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and Microsoft Office.
- Forklift experience and ability to safely handle materials in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs), work in varying high and low temperature environments, and wear required PPE, including a respirator.
- Chemical industry or hazardous materials shipping experience (DOT, IATA, IMDG) is a plus, but not required.
