Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and business units to identify and address cybersecurity risks in intricate projects and initiatives.
- Conduct assessments of external party information security controls to ensure compliance with our risk management standards.
- Develop risk profiles for vendor and partner services using industry best practices and internal policies.
- Recommend effective solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Guide project stakeholders on statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and communication records in our risk management platform.
- Report engagement status to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in enforcing security policies and review exceptions, providing management recommendations.
- Research and advocate for new technologies to enhance security for the enterprise and its partners.
- Provide guidance to junior team members on cybersecurity risk management processes.
- Perform additional risk management tasks as assigned.
Skills
- Strong experience in information security risk management and IT audits, ideally in large corporate settings.
- Proficiency in industry frameworks and regulations, such as SOC, ISO, NIST, and GDPR.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives and tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Experience in balancing business needs with cybersecurity best practices.
- Persuasive skills to influence desired outcomes.
