Responsibilities
- Manage overall clinic flow, ensuring timely and organized patient progression from arrival to departure.
- Organize incoming patients, preparing them for their appointments and ensuring all necessary preliminary steps are completed.
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight.
- Physically room patients, ensuring comfort and readiness for provider interaction, and preparing the room for the visit.
- Notify providers promptly when patients are ready to be seen, facilitating smooth transitions.
- Clean and restock examination rooms thoroughly after each clinic visit, maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
- Manage and perform all InBody scans for patients, ensuring accurate data collection and proper documentation.
- Works closely with the nursing team and providers to ensure coordinated patient care and an integrated clinical approach
- Operates with defined roles and training, exercising some independence in daily practice while adhering to established protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or Medical Assistant associate degree program or hold an active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred if Medical Assistant program has been completed. Required if a Medical Assistant diploma or Medical Assistant associate degree program has not been completed.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment. Computer proficiency required, including prior experience with electronic medical record systems. Ability to work daytime hours, flexibility may be required to meet staffing needs. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
