We are seeking an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine for a 50-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This role begins on Feb 1, 2026, with a flexible start date, covering both day and night shifts in the pediatric CVICU, including weekday and weekend coverage.

- Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner
- Schedule:
- Day shifts: Monday-Friday 7am-8pm, Saturday-Sunday 7am-8pm (includes hand off time), 4-7 shifts consecutively
- Night shifts: Monday-Friday 5pm-8am, Saturday-Sunday 7pm-8am (includes hand off time), maximum 4 shifts consecutively
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate directly with Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists to establish patient care plans in the pediatric CVICU
- Manage new admissions and participate in daily rounding with a multidisciplinary team
- Take frontline calls for pediatric CVICU patients
- Cover cardiology patients on the pediatric acute floor as needed (usually 2-5 patients)
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric critical care patients
Additional Information
- Must have current Louisiana license (will wait for license if needed)
- Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) required
- Board certification in pediatric critical care medicine required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience in pediatric critical care is essential
- Board certification (BC) required
