Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and one evening or 2 evenings and one day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• Night shift positions available, may be first to float
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with nurse aide support at 1:10-15 ratios
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• One shift of unit orientation provided
• Cerner charting system experience recommended
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Floating requirements to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry monitoring, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements
• Must be able to read basic telemetry strips and interpret strips at least once per shift
• Experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement preferred
• Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments
• Handle set rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem
• 4-week self-scheduling system balanced by manager
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
