The Per Diem Registered Nurse in Urology provides specialized nursing care for pediatric patients with a range of urologic conditions at Boston Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, conducting in-person and telehealth patient visits, performing phone triage, and supporting pre- and post-operative care. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care and requires an RN license with pediatric and urology experience preferred.
The clinicians in Boston Children’s Department of Urology — ranked among the best in the nation in pediatric urology by U.S. News & World Report — provide expert care for the entire spectrum of urologic conditions. Our team sees infants, children, and adolescents with common urological conditions such as hydronephrosis, urinary reflux, undescended testicles, kidney stones, hypospadias, and urinary incontinence. We also offer deep expertise and a multispecialty approach to more complex urological conditions including bladder exstrophy and epispadias, spina bifida, cloacal deformities, and genitourinary cancers.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing care and assisting physicians in the pediatric Urology Clinic in Boston and rotation to the Waltham satellite clinic.
- Conducting patient visits both in person and via telehealth.
- Providing phone triage, pre-operative and post-operative evaluation.
- Assisting with ambulatory procedures.
- Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of RN experience.
- Experience with catheterization, post-operative care and phone triage preferred.
- Pediatric and Urology experience preferred.
- MA RN license

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
