Automotive General Sales Manager

$120,000 - $150,000+ a Year + Commission & Bonuses!

Automotive Sales Management Experience Required.


A leading automotive dealership in the Houston, TX area, is seeking a driven, and people-focused General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our Sales Department and elevate an already strong retail operation.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a GSM who knows how to develop a team, drive consistent performance, and create a customer experience that keeps people coming back. If you understand modern automotive retail, have a diplomatic leadership style, and thrive in a supportive dealership culture, we’d like to speak with you.

Key Responsibilities - GSM:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse sales team
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and partners
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to align sales initiatives
  • Forecast sales trends and prepare accurate reports
  • Ensure excellent customer service and brand representation



Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Proven success as an Automotive Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, or General Manager in a franchised dealership
  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to set a vision the team can rally around
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • High integrity and a reputation for treating customers and employees right
  • Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
