Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Varied Shifts

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a critical care team for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate is flexible with scheduling, highly skilled in intensive care, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients using the nursing process
- Perform and assist with ICU-level procedures and patient monitoring
- Accurately document patient care and outcomes using electronic medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other critical care or step-down units as needed
Unit Details- ICU with 11 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
- Equipment/EMR: Meditech (unit), EPIC (facility-wide)
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs
Schedule & Orientation- Must be flexible for day or night shifts based on staffing needs
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) following orientation
- Up to 40 hours of orientation during the first week
- Additional requirement: 2 on-call 12-hour shifts per 4-week roster period
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience
- Active Hawaii RN license (must be obtained by start of assignment if not already held)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (or ability to complete during orientation)
Additional Requirements- Ability to float to other critical care or step-down units as needed
- Must arrive prior to assignment start to complete pre-employment health requirements
- Holiday coverage required
