The OR-Surgery Department has 10 OR's with service lines that include Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, Neuro and Podiatry.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • The RN performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

  • Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona or Compact State RN license and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year ICU experience preferred

  • Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire

  • Certification: Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire (unless employee already has ACLS)

  • Handle with care required within 30 days of orientation and annually thereafter

  • Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire.

  • Certification: TNCC required within 6 months of hire

  • Certification: PALS required within 1 year of hire
