This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans. They provide Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans across the country in various locations.

General Medicine Provider - Veterans Disability Evaluations
Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans• Multiple locations available: Coeburn (2 days/week), Covington (1 day/week), Hillsville (2 days/week), and Charlottesville (3 days/week)• Option to work at provider's own office location if available• Flexible scheduling with half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires active and unrestricted full license in Virginia• AANP certification required• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Accepted specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension• Local candidates only (travel included in rates)• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
