Key Responsibilities:

• On-Call Coverage:
  • Provide on-call coverage for a 16-bed inpatient unit, ensuring timely and expert care for obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
  • Handle an average of 2 patients per shift, with the potential for unassigned patient rounding as needed.
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) and MedHost EMR systems for all patient documentation and records management.
• Patient Care:
  • Address both routine and emergency OB/GYN cases, including labor and delivery, surgical interventions, and postpartum care.
  • Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies during allowed holidays, including New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
• Certification and Licensing:
  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A Tennessee medical license is required, with the possibility of reimbursement for licensing costs.
  • Temporary privileges are available for candidates with a clean background, ensuring a swift start.

• Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification: Eligible or Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Fellowship: Preferred but not required
