This role is designed to fill a crucial gap in patient care, providing both inpatient and outpatient services with a particular focus on advanced procedures. Position Overview: Location: Near Phoenix, AZ Start Date: ASAP (as soon as credentialed) End Date: Ongoing Shift Type: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 3-7 days per month Assignment Details: Setting: Hospital and office-based practice FTE: 0.5 - 1.0 (depending on availability) Duties: Evaluate and treat patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. Perform endoscopy procedures during scheduled block time and while on call. Procedures include ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) and EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound). Office capabilities include esophageal manometry, video capsule endoscopy, and Fibroscan these procedures are performed by clinical staff and interpreted by physicians. Support Staff: Includes medical receptionists, surgery schedulers, medical assistants, and registered nurses. EMR System: Cerner Requirements: Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Gastroenterology. State License: Must hold an active Arizona state license or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand). Residency/Fellowship: Completion required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Malpractice: Clean malpractice history preferred.
