Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stress Testing position requiring a MO or compact RN license and expertise in moderate sedation.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiac Stress Testing unit of a hospital
- Care for patients undergoing procedures such as transesophageal echo, cardioversion, dobutamine stress testing, and tilt table testing
- Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend shifts and participation in on-call rotation required
- Must be able to work at least 50 percent of holidays during the contract
- Cerner EMR used; experience preferred but not required
- Responsible for preparing and monitoring patients during cardiac stress testing procedures
- First-time travelers are accepted if experienced in moderate sedation
- Team-oriented environment with potential for onsite training in required certifications
- RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at consideration and will not be approved after
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required as per staffing needs
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in cardiac stress testing or moderate sedation
- Skilled in moderate sedation and experienced with cardiac stress-related procedures
- Ability to work full assigned shifts and contracted term
- Must live outside a 75-mile radius for travel pay; locals considered at a reduced rate
