Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleFull Time (4x9s) from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM, shifts to be scheduled between Monday and Friday, with holiday rotation.
Job DescriptionThe CT/Radiologic Technologist performs technical radiographic assignments, exercising complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of CT and Radiologic Technology. They perform diagnostic radiographic studies as requested, operate portable diagnostic radiographic equipment as needed, and comply with infection control standards as per Universal Precautions. The role involves care for patients across the lifespan including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
Responsibilities- Operate radiographic, CT, image processors, and related equipment accurately across different modalities.
- Evaluate images for quality and demonstrate accuracy in positioning based on procedure guidelines.
- Provide clear instructions during procedures to calm and relieve patient stress.
- Maintain competency in at least two specific modalities.
- Ensure proper radiation protection is utilized for self, patients, and personnel.
- Demonstrate flexibility in assuming emergency call responsibilities.
- Utilize RIS and PACS to enter and edit patient exams and charges and to manage other data accurately.
- Perform required quality control activities and adhere to NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines.
- ARRT certification and NYS radiologic technologist license required.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience with solid Radiologic/X-Ray experience or C-Arm experience.
