Urgent Care Physician to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, treating a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages. Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (lab, imaging, EKGs, etc.).
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, abscess drainage, and wound care.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and counsel patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff to deliver efficient and compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide referrals for patients requiring ongoing specialty care or emergency services when appropriate.
Qualifications:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- DEA license and current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Previous urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
