Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology
• Operate imaging equipment under direction of radiologist or other providers
• Perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols
• Utilize appropriate radiation protection measures and follow ALARA standards
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and document information into RIS
• Position patients and select technical factors to produce maximum diagnostic quality images
• Review studies for technical accuracy and ensure correct image identification
• Collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers during exams
• Approve images, match orders to images, and archive to PACS
• Perform PACS reconciliations accurately and in timely manner
• Document fluoroscopy time and estimated skin exposure for fluoro studies
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC workflow system
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling reassignment and shift rotations including weekends, call, and holidays
• Provide teaching and learning environment for staff, students, and visitors
• Assist with onboarding new employees and act as mentor
• Report equipment malfunctions and provide minor troubleshooting
• Required: ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current Wisconsin Radiographer license
• Required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• Required: Post-high school completion of ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Preferred: One year current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology
• Self-motivated with ability to organize, prioritize, and remain flexible during emergencies
