Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting
- Care for adult patients with a range of complex medical conditions
- 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
- Responsible for a group of ICU patients including medication administration, monitoring, and documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates patient care planning with families
- Must comply with hospital infection control and safety policies
- Maximum contract duration is 26 weeks before requiring a 6-month break
Requirements
- Active OK RN license or current multistate compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to respond effectively to diverse patient and visitor needs
