Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state
• Certification in Labor and Delivery nursing (L&D)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as required
• Completion of all required onboarding health screenings and documentation

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
• Monitor patient status, fetal heart rates, and respond promptly to any changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities
• Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards
