Job Description:
Evaluates speech/language and swallowing abilities of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, injury, disease, or other causes and synthesizes the data to establish a plan of care through evidence-based practice interventions and goals appropriate to the patient's age and development.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates speech/language and swallowing abilities of patients
- Interacts and collaborates with a variety of professionals to implement and assess the intervention program
- Completes other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Neonatal Experience
- Modified Barium Swallow Study
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
- Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
