This position is for a board-certified Urgent Care Physician to work in a fast-paced urgent care center in El Paso, TX, primarily managing a high patient volume with responsibilities including laceration repair, incision and drainage, and pediatric care. Candidates must have 3-6 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice, and be comfortable treating pediatric patients including infants under 3 months. The role requires local candidates with an active Texas medical license and offers PRN ongoing coverage with no lodging or travel provided.
Shift: Mon Sat 8a 6p Sun 8a 5p
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Dates of Coverage: PRN, ongoing
Logistics Covered: Local candidates only No lodging or airfare provided
Locations: El Paso, TX
Details:
- Practice Setting: Fast-paced Urgent Care center
- EMR: Practice Velocity
- Patient Volume: 3 4 patients per hour
- Clinics Are Busy: Candidates must be comfortable in high-volume UC settings
Required Skills / Procedures:
- Laceration repair / suturing
- Incision & drainage (I&D)
- Reading X-rays & EKGs
- Work Comp experience (preferred)
- DOT certification (preferred)
- Treating pediatrics including infants under 3 months
Locum is Required to Have:
- 3 6 years of Urgent Care, ER, or Family Medicine experience
- Must be comfortable with pediatric patients including
Board Certified in:
- Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
- Local to El Paso (no travel provided)
- Consistent availability preferred
Requirements:
- MD/DO only
- Board Certified
- 3 6 years of UC/ER/FP experience
- Active Texas medical license (preferred for speed)
- Local to El Paso Non-local candidates will not be considered
