This position requires an inpatient pediatrics physician to provide coverage in Oregon starting January 2026, handling Level II nursery, emergency department consults, and inpatient rounding. The role involves stabilizing and transferring critical patients, performing specific procedures such as intubations and lumbar punctures, and maintaining quick on-site emergency response times. Compensation includes daily rates, malpractice coverage, and travel reimbursement with low call-back volume and minimal delivery attendance required.
Inpatient Pediatric coverage is needed in Oregon, beginning in January 2026-Ongoing.
-First set of dates is 2/2-2/8 (7a-7a)
-Cover Level II nursery, ED consults, rounding on inpatient pediatrics and newborns. Stabilize and transfer critical patients. Can expect to spend 5-6 clinical hours onsite.
-0-4 patients/day
-No Circumcisions are required
-Delivery attendance only required in emergencies (1-2x a month)
-15-minute in-person response time for emergencies such as neonatal resuscitations. ED calls for consults and admissions don t have as strict of a turnaround time.
- Generally, there is a low call back volume
-Required Procedures: endotracheal intubations/vent mgmt., newborns, spinal tap/lumbar puncture, umbilical line placement. Must be able to perform IVIG. Must have case logs for the past 24months showing volumes.
-EMR: Patient Keeper (interface with Meditech) Offering:
Compensation $2250+/day, to include 4hrs onsite
Call back Rate of $150+/hr
Medical Malpractice Provided
Travel Reimbursement: Lodging, Rental Car or Mileage, and Airfare
