Job Details:
• Full-time Medical Director position leading an innovative Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)• Provide comprehensive medical oversight and quality care coordination for seniors with chronic care needs• Conduct history and physical exams on new participants with event-based and periodic reassessments• Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services across various care settings• Interview and evaluate PACE applicants and participate in Intake and Assessment decisions• Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers to plan future care• Collaborate with nursing staff on treatment programs and interdisciplinary teams• Educate participants and families about health maintenance and chronic medical conditions• Supervise healthcare and treatment programs developed by the interdisciplinary team• Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests• Participate in provider on-call rotation as required• Must have Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (Geriatrics certification preferred)• Requires active Massachusetts medical license, CDS Certification, and DEA Registration• Minimum one year documented experience working with frail or elderly population• Previous supervisory experience required• Must possess effective skills in physical assessment and chronic disease management for older adults• Desire to work in a creative alternative healthcare setting is essential• Ability to manage changing priorities according to participant needs
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
