Various general surgery procedures are performed, including colorectal, small bowel, appendectomies, gallbladder, exploratory laparotomy, hernia repairs, and more. Practice Setting: Inpatient Coverage Details: Coverage is needed due to extra volume. The locum tenens general surgeons will work a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. Patients per shift: 20 - 35 census Patients include pediatric cases for appendectomies. Rounding on general surgery patients is required. No elective surgeries, primarily ED and inpatient cases. Shift Schedule: Shift 1: 6am-4pm Shift 2: 12pm-10pm No call required for this position. Requirements: Board Certification: Eligible Fellowship: Preferred Washington State License: Required BLS certification required. Preferred skills include experience in trauma surgery, pediatric surgery, and a variety of general surgery procedures.
